MedSpa Charlotte, NC

Treating a frown line is different from addressing a brown spot or loss of cheek volume. At Premier Spa, the med spa at Premier Plastic Surgery Center, our team explains these differences so you can make an informed choice. We offer injectables, light treatments, and skin rejuvenation at our Matthews office, serving Charlotte, NC, and the surrounding areas.

Let us know what you want to improve and how much recovery time works for you. We’ll help you review your options.

What Is a Medical Spa?

A medical spa, or med spa, offers aesthetic treatments in a medical setting. Services may include Botox, dermal fillers, microneedling, light-based treatments, and professional skincare. At Premier Plastic Surgery Center, our med spa is part of a physician-led practice that focuses on choosing the right treatments and achieving natural-looking results.

Aesthetic medicine begins with the change you want, whether that’s reducing fine lines, smoothing rough skin, or restoring facial balance after volume loss. We use our experience to explain what suits your features and what might not match your goals.

These services can improve skin tone, texture, and facial volume without surgery. Your health, the reason for your concern, and the limits of each treatment help us make recommendations.

Med Spa Treatments at Premier Spa

Botox and Dysport for Expression Lines

Botox and Dysport reduce selected muscle activity to smooth expression lines, including frown lines, depending on the product and area.

We consider your facial movement when deciding where and how much Botox or Dysport to use. Botox and Dysport can smooth wrinkles while keeping your natural expressions, but it does not restore lost volume.

Dermal Fillers for Volume and Contour

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, such as Restylane and Juvéderm, add volume to specific areas. We choose the product based on your tissue thickness, facial movement, and the support needed.

We provide lip fillers and under-eye fillers. Under-eye hollows, puffiness, and discoloration each require a different evaluation. Fillers cannot fix every cause of dark circles.

Sculptra for Gradual Collagen Support

Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid to help your body produce more collagen. Results appear gradually, not right after the injection.

We plan a series of appointments and allow time to see how your facial support and appearance change.

Microneedling and Morpheus8

Microneedling makes tiny, controlled punctures to trigger your skin’s natural repair process. It can help with acne scars, uneven texture, and fine lines. Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy, which adds heat to the tissue.

We adjust microneedling and Morpheus8 settings to fit your unique features. We also offer microneedling with PRP, which is made from your own blood. Feel free to ask us about the benefits and reasons for adding PRP.

IPL for Dark Spots and Redness

Intense pulsed light (IPL) targets certain pigments and visible blood vessels. It can help with sun spots, uneven skin tone, and some types of facial redness.

Your skin type, recent tanning, and your diagnosis all affect whether IPL is right for you. Treating dark spots from sun exposure is different from treating melasma, so we assess each case individually.

Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion

Chemical peels remove layers of skin at a chosen depth to improve texture and address some signs of aging. Microdermabrasion uses a device to exfoliate the skin’s surface.

You might want smoother skin, a brighter look, or fewer fine wrinkles. The depth of the peel affects how it feels and how long recovery takes.

Professional Skin Care and Topical Support

We offer skincare lines like Ferrari MD Pro Skin Care, Obagi, Revision, PCA, Alastin and Ourself. Cleansing, hydration, and sun protection are the basics, while certain ingredients target specific concerns.

We also carry ( plated ) Skin Science and offer topical exosome treatments. You can ask us about the ingredients, how they are used, and the research behind them. We tailor your routine to your skin’s tolerance.

Laser Hair Removal for Unwanted Hair

We offer DiolazeXL laser hair removal as part of our skin rejuvenation services. Laser treatments reduce unwanted hair, and your hair color, skin tone, and the area being treated all affect your treatment plan and number of sessions.

For patients tired of shaving or waxing, a laser series offers longer-term hair reduction. Regrowth can be finer and less noticeable, though maintenance may be needed for lasting results. Ask how your chosen body area affects treatment timing.

Additional services include treatment for excessive sweating and PRP for hair restoration. Both deserve an assessment of the underlying cause.

Which Med Spa Treatment Is Right for Me?

Start with the concern. A brand name can come later. Personalized treatment plans should connect each procedure to a specific goal.

  • Movement lines: A wrinkle relaxer may soften the muscle activity contributing to wrinkles.
  • Volume loss: Filler or collagen-stimulating injections may restore support after an anatomy assessment.
  • Uneven tone: Skincare, chemical peels, or IPL may fit the diagnosis.
  • Acne scars or rough texture: Microneedling may help, with time for healing.

Combining treatments makes sense when each has a purpose. Treating cheek volume and sun damage, for example, involves separate decisions.

Am I a Candidate for Medical Spa Care?

Many adults seeking an aesthetic improvement can consider medical spa services. Your medical history, skin condition, medications, and prior treatments determine suitability.

Mention allergies, previous fillers, and raised scarring. Active infection, irritation, or tanning may require postponement. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and healing problems can change recommendations. Significant loose skin may call for a surgical consultation.

What Is a Med Spa Appointment Like?

Your visit begins with your concerns and an examination. A nurse injector or licensed aesthetician may provide care within Dr. Ferrari's physician-led practice.

We'll review the proposed treatment, expected benefit, cost, and recovery. Your provider should explain alternatives and answer questions before you decide.

Injections can feel like pinching or pressure. IPL and laser procedures may feel warm or sharp. Microneedling may involve topical numbing. Ask about comfort measures and full appointment length.

How Should I Prepare?

  • Bring your medication list, skincare routine, and previous treatment details.
  • Mention events, travel, and the visible recovery you can accommodate.
  • Follow treatment-specific instructions. Do not stop prescribed medication without your prescribing clinician's advice.

Recovery, Results, and Maintenance

Some appointments involve minimal downtime, but returning to work and looking photo-ready are different milestones. Swelling or bruising can outlast the visit.

  • Botox: Injection-site bumps or bruising can occur. Results develop over days.
  • Fillers: Volume appears at the visit; swelling can distort the early result.
  • Microneedling, IPL, and laser care: Redness and tenderness vary with treatment intensity.
  • Chemical peels: Healing time increases with peel depth. Peeling can remain visible for days.

Botox effects last about three to four months. Filler duration depends on the product and area. Collagen-focused results develop over weeks to months.

Self-Care Between Appointments

Keep your home routine manageable. Follow the aftercare plan while your skin heals, and ask when to restart active ingredients. Extra exfoliation can irritate treated skin. Consistent sun protection and reassessment help maintain improvements as aging continues.

Why Choose Premier Plastic Surgery Center?

Dr. Victor Ferrari is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has over 30 years of plastic surgery experience.

Our clinical and aesthetic team includes a registered nurse injector, a nurse practitioner injector and a licensed aesthetician. Surgical and nonsurgical expertise helps place med spa recommendations in context, including when a procedure cannot meet your goal.

Natural-looking results depend on proportion and treatment selection. The aim is an improvement that suits your features.

Medical procedures carry risks. Rare filler blood-vessel complications can damage tissue or vision. RF microneedling can cause burns, scarring, or unwanted fat loss. Discuss risks and follow-up for your proposed care.
